The process of micro needling causes a disruption in the skin layers that activates the wound healing response producing baby collagen (to rebuild the skin which later turns into stronger collagen). Collagen can be increased by up to 400%. Before the treatment, the skin has to be prepped and this will vary depending on your skin assessment . I like to take a holistic approach, so the pre micro-needling preparation may involve taking fish oils or the equivalent and a ABC facial serums (essentially Vitamins A, B and C which have been shown to improve, protect and repair damaged skin.
